A match without much importance!
The odds shifted a few days ago, and Maccabi Netanya, who opened with odds of 3.60 to win, is now the favorite against Maccabi Haifa.
The reason is that Maccabi Haifa has many injured players. Another reason is that one of their players passed away a few days ago, and the team is in mourning.
Two of Maccabi Haifa’s players who are grieving for their teammate will not play today.
However, in my personal opinion, those players did not perform well this season anyway.
Also, Maccabi Haifa will be without three experienced defenders.
Four youth players will start today for Maccabi Haifa, which is another reason why Maccabi Netanya is considered the favorite.
But in my view, Haifa’s midfield and attack are strong.
With players like D. Saba (playmaker and their best player) and G. Melamed (the league’s top scorer), who didn’t get many minutes under the previous coach because the other striker, D. David, played selfishly and wanted to be the only striker and top scorer (which also led to Haifa losing several matches), they still have quality.
So with D. Saba, G. Melamed, Ali Mohamed, Mahmoud Jaber, and also Sirota and Sabrin, Maccabi Haifa has good players.
The young players are also very hungry and will want to prove themselves.
Haifa even won a match against Maccabi Tel Aviv with many absentees, so they are not a huge underdog today.
Maccabi Netanya is also missing their best defender and a key midfielder.
I believe Maccabi Haifa will not lose and will win in honor of their late player, G. Kinda.
The odds at the local bookmaker are 50/50.
There is no favorite!
